The House of Atreus* [THOA] Thomas Wells and Emma Brennan explores how working class architecture reflects contemporary social and moral systems. This partnering of experiences intersects gendered labour practices, working-class identity and the entanglement of domestic and industrial spaces.

Brennan & Wells work across durational performance, installation, and socially engaged practices. Their work examines how systems of class, gender, and labour shape lived experience, positioning the body within architectures that reflect broader social and economic structures. Rooted in queer feminist, working-class perspectives, their practice resists dominant narratives of productivity, success, and value.

Working collaboratively through non-hierarchical methods, they draw on artist-led and DIY modes of production as both a practical and political framework. Their performances unfold over extended durations, using slowness, repetition, and spatial negotiation to interrupt efficiency-driven systems and challenge expectations of output.
